Floriade or "Australia's Celebration of Spring" is one of the most spectacular spring festivals, featuring extensive displays of flowering bulbs. Floriade is considered to be the most important regular event for tourism in the Australian Capital Territory. Beside the flower display there are also cultural celebrations, musical shows, artistic manifestations and many other activities.
The name Floriade comes from the Latin word 'floriat' and was inspired by flower festivals held in the Netherlands.

How to get there
From Sydney you can either catch a
train from the
Central Station, which is close to the City center, or by car via the highway that is linking Sydney and
Canberra.
