Shark Island lighthouse is located in Sydney Harbour, east of Bradley's Head and is accessible only by boat.

The lighthouse was built in 1913 and was named after the Shark Island found in proximity.

Shark Island lighthouse is a small lighthouse of only 12.5m in height and is accessible only by boat.

Still operational today, the Shark Island lighthouse character is of three red flashes every 8 s.

How to get there
The NPWS, in conjunction with Matilda Cruises, operates a ferry service everyday to Shark Island.

Ferry departs from Darling Harbour. For ferry information visit the Matilda Cruises website.
