about...

Sydney Royal Easter Show
©2006 Gabriel Ditu
Like in many parts in the world, in autumn, people are celebrating the agriculture and they like to show their achievements in cultivation of crops, to show their cattle and sheep and to exchange expertise and different products. In Australia, Royal Easter Show is organized in the weeks before Easter, and is opened for two weeks.

If you ask me, The Royal Easter Show is an expensive waste of time. In 2008 the entrance ticket for an adult was 32 AUD, 22 AUD for children, cheapest ride 5 AUD, fairy floss 4 AUD, soft drink 4 AUD. The good part is that The Royal Easter Show is organized at the Sydney Showground in Homebush, which is part of the Olympic Park. By visiting The Royal Easter Show, you have also the opportunity to visit the Olympic venues, such as Telstra Stadium, the Sydney SuperDome, Aquatic and Athletic Centers, and so on.
